5. Reconnecting with our Sensualidad and Truth with Jenny Viveros, LCSW

In today’s episode, I am so excited to welcome my first guest! I have the pleasure of introducing my friend Jenny Viveros, LCSW @latin_burlesque. Jenny likes to call herself a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by day and burlesque dancer by night!

In this fun and engaging conversation, we talked about her two biggest passions; advocating for her peers’ rights and dancing. The deep roots of her Mexican culture helped her in this journey of finding her truest self. Even after many struggles along the way, her dancing was what gave her the jumpstart to becoming the fearless activist that set her on the path of becoming a social worker. Throughout her search for social justice, she saw she could help communities like the one she grew up in.

Nowadays she combines both passions by working as a Social Worker and teaching burlesque dance classes, where she has been able to combine both strengths because in them the feeling of Comunidad is essential for the students to embrace.
