13. Reclaiming Joy with Anjuli Sherin, LMFT

Today on Licensed Psychologist, Now What? Podcast I have the honor and privilege to welcome my colleague Anjuli Sherin @anjulisherinmft! I had the pleasure to meet Anjuli through social media which has been a game-changer for this podcast versus my previous one because I have been able to meet more of my wonderful colleagues around the world. One of the reasons I wanted to do this podcast in the first place was to be able to get to know other therapists' experiences and stories and their journeys becoming a therapist. This is one of those amazing stories about how Social Media can connect two like-minded people and have an amazing outcome.

Anjuli is a Pakistani-American Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Northern California. Anjuli is the author of the award-winning book: Joyous Resilience: A Path to Individual Healing and Collective Thriving in a Inequitable World; a book about finding joy and helping others feel more alive while finding the joys in the simple things life has to offer us. In her journey of self-discovery, she learned to do this for herself, not just for others as she re-discovered the things that made her feel alive besides her career, like traveling and getting to spend time with her loved ones.

To learn more about Anjuli’s work make sure to follow her on Instagram where you can find her guided meditations and more information about her Book.
